Paper scraps

Minneapolis College of Art and Design | 2017 | Arts Entrepreneurship

Our mission at Paper Scraps is to give people a place to explore, connect, and grow their own creativity. We are a community-based hub for artists, both beginners and the seasoned. Here book and paper arts are represented, exhibited, taught, and created.

The Arts Entrepreneurship program at MCAD allows students to explore and gain firsthand experience in a variety of business skills. In the aptly titled course, Creating and Running a Business, students created a business model and presented the concept to a panel of funders and creative community members who offered advice and critique. My proposed business, Paper Scraps would be an art center based in Chicago featuring a gallery space and workshops for the general public and emerging artists as well as a residency program.
